Centrifuges

Centrifuges

The centrifuge is a laboratory device used for the separation of fluids, gas or liquid, based on density. Separation is achieved by spinning a vessel containing material at high speed.

Reactors

Jacketed glass reactors and single glass reactors used for a variety of process operations such as dissolution of solids, product mixing, chemical reactions, batch distillation, crystallization, extraction and polymerization.

COD

The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) method determines the quantity of oxygen required to oxidize the organic matter in a waste sample, under specific conditions of oxidizing agent, temperature and time. Often used to monitor water treatment plant efficiency.

Density Meter

Measure API values in accordance with ASTM D1250, ASTM D4052, ASTM D5002, DIN 51757, ISO 12185, ASTM D4806, IP 365 and ASTM D5931.

Conductivity

An electrical conductivity meter (EC meter) measures the electrical conductivity in a solution. It has multiple applications in research and engineering, with common usage in hydroponics, aquaculture, aquaponics and freshwater systems to monitor nutrients, salts or impurities in the water.

Refractometer

A refractometer is a device which measures the content (brix, sugar, honey, urine, salt, battery fluid…) of a solution by the refraction of light.

Pipettes

A pipette is a laboratory instrument used to measure out or transfer small quantities of liquid, in millilitres (mL) or microlitres (µL). Used across chemistry, molecular biology, medical science, food and chemical analysis, food safety and clinical examinations.

Ultra Sonic Bath

Used for cavitation bubbles induced by high frequency pressure (sound) waves to agitate a liquid. The agitation produces high forces on contaminants adhering to substrates like metals, plastics, glass, rubber and ceramics, and penetrates blind holes, cracks and recesses.

Polarimeter

Measures the concentration of inorganic and organic compounds in a liquid solution using an instrument that determines the optical activity of those compounds. Used in chemical, cosmetic, research and pharmaceutical industries.

Ultra Low Sulfur Analyzer

Measures H2S and total sulfur by hydrogenation, as described in ASTM Method D3031, D4084-82, D4468-85 and D4045-81.

TDS

Device used to indicate the Total Dissolved Solids in a solution, usually water. Since dissolved ionized solids such as salts and minerals increase the conductivity of a solution, a TDS meter measures conductivity and estimates the TDS from that reading.

Water Purification Instruments

Ensures the quality of water used in the lab to perform successful and reliable tests, handling a range of applications from basic buffer preparations to highly sensitive protocols such as HPLC, PCR, or uses that require precise TOC removal.

BOD

Biochemical Oxygen Demand is a chemical procedure for determining the amount of dissolved oxygen needed by aerobic biological organisms in a body of water to break down organic material present in a given sample, at a set temperature over a specific time period.

pH Meter

An electrical device that determines the acidity or basicity of aqueous solutions.

Incubators

Protect cells from changes in temperature, humidity, CO2 and O2. Temperature can be regulated by water or air jackets, with constant humidity maintained by a humidity water tray.

Vacuum Pump

Provides suction to drive the aspiration or filtration of liquid or suspended samples, and to induce or control solvent evaporation by reducing vapour pressure.
